This policy explains what personal information sultanshepard.com collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. "We" means Sultan + Shepard, 10250 Constellation Blvd, Suite 100B, Los Angeles, CA 90067, USA, which operates this website and is responsible for your personal information. What we collect

Sign-ups. When you join our community through the form on this site, we collect the mobile number or email address you enter and the country you select. The sign-up is handled by our fan-messaging provider, Laylo.
Usage and device information. If you allow analytics, we measure visits with Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager: pages viewed, approximate location (from your IP address), device and browser type, and how you arrived. This uses cookies such as _ga.
Your cookie choices. We store your consent choices in a cookie (ss_consent) so we don't ask again on every visit.
Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your message and address to reply.

We do not ask for payment details on this site. Purchases happen on our shop (shop.sultanshepard.com, run on Shopify) or on our label's store, under their own policies.

How we use it

To send the updates you signed up for: new music, merch, tour presales and Dialekt Radio.
To understand which pages and releases people use, so we can improve the site.
If you allow marketing cookies, to measure and improve our advertising.
To keep the site secure and working.

Where the law requires a legal basis (for example in the EU and UK), we rely on your consent for sign-ups, analytics and marketing cookies, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure website for everything else.

Text messages and email

By signing up with your mobile number you agree to receive recurring automated marketing texts from SULTAN + SHEPARD through Laylo. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Laylo's own terms and privacy policy also apply to these messages.

Cookies and your choices

Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK, Switzerland, Brazil and Québec see a cookie banner, and analytics and marketing cookies stay off until you turn them on. Everyone can change their choices at any time from Cookie settings in the site footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser.

Embedded media (such as YouTube or SoundCloud players) may set their own cookies when you play them; you can switch these off under Media embeds in Cookie settings.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that run this site for us:

Cloudflare: hosting, security and our first-party analytics endpoint
Google: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
Laylo: community sign-ups, texts and email
Shopify: our merch store, if you choose to visit it

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (under 16 in the EU and UK); if you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete it.

Where it is stored and for how long

Our providers may process information in the United States, Canada and other countries, with safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required. We keep sign-up details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and analytics data for up to 14 months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including California, the EU and UK, and Québec, you may have the right to:

see the personal information we hold about you
correct it or have it deleted
withdraw your consent or object to its use
opt out of targeted advertising
complain to your local data-protection authority

To use any of these rights, email admin@sultanshepard.com. We will not treat you differently for doing so. Our contact for privacy matters, including under Québec's Law 25, can be reached at the same address.

If this policy changes, we will post the new version here and update the date above.
